Žusterna Swimming Area – A Coastal Landmark Reimagined
Right on the Adriatic coast in Koper, Slovenia, the Žusterna Swimming Area has always been a go-to spot for summer fun, whether for families, swimmers, or people just looking to relax by the sea. In 2025, the area got a major upgrade, kicking off a new chapter with a clean, modern design focused on comfort, accessibility, and safety.
Some of the key improvements included better pool drainage, raised concrete levels for protection against rising sea levels, new beach access points, shaded seating areas, and updated public facilities, with a new children’s pool and upgraded beach café still to come.
One of the most important updates was the addition of stainless steel mesh balustrades from inoxnet®, installed around the pool areas and stairways leading into the sea.
