Yeni Nesil 2000 Schools – A Design Where Safety Meets Education
Located in the heart of Istanbul, Yeni Nesil 2000 Schools stand out with a multilingual and human-centered educational philosophy that aims to prepare students not only academically but also mentally, culturally, and ethically for the future. In line with this holistic vision, the architectural design of the school required solutions that combine functionality, safety, and visual elegance. As inoxnet®, we implemented two different I-NET® safety net systems on the school's main staircases - each prioritizing both protection and transparent aesthetics.
In the first application, our classic flat I-NET® cable mesh system created a strong barrier within the stairwell to prevent falls. However, our most significant architectural contribution came with the second staircase, where we delivered a custom-designed solution. Taking into account the project’s spatial limitations and aesthetic expectations, we designed a unique triangular net structure, custom-fabricated with a special tensioning system. This allowed us to achieve maximum impact with minimal material.
In this project, inoxnet® offered more than a safety component - we created an architectural element that reflects the school's contemporary, innovative, and value-driven identity.
