A cable-net facade system which is distinguished by its high transparency and modern appearance was the preferred choice for Aktifbank’s new head office located in Sisli district in Istanbul.
Cable-net facade systems, based on the concept of stretching high-strength steel ropes horizontally and vertically, form a four-sided strong structure and require advanced engineering and preliminary design.
It is possible to create transparent facades, resistant to both wind and earthquake, with the right rope diameter selection and correctly applied pre-tension loads according to the application area.
The cable-net facade systems consist of high-strength steel rope systems comprising forks, swaged fittings, turnbuckles, and cross-clamp parts that ensure the fastening of high tensioned horizontal and vertical ropes to each other.
The cable-net facade system applied in the Aktifbank Head Office project is about 8 meters in height and 45 meters in width consisting of Ø18mm steel I-ROPE® tensioning systems.
INOX-NET has undertaken the consultancy and production of the I-ROPE® tension rope systems and provided pre-tensioning support during the assembling of the cable-net facade structure.
